Too Hot to Live in the Future

After watching David Attenboroughs: A Life on Our Planet,

leads me to realize its no longer a joke or a hype anymore that we are destroying our planet-it is a fact that is going to affect how we all live and the work we do in the next 40 years.

I did not understand how all the Talk about Climate Change would affect me in my future. But reading the National Geographics 50th Anniversary few weeks ago: How we Saved/Lost the World, it became clear; If we carry on consuming how we are now with no thought about the environmental impact of our food choices-by 2070 many areas of the world will become SO HOT it will be impossible to live and function there. See Future Climate Map attached. Beyond 50 degrees Celcius, brain proteins denature and people die.

This will literally create places of no productivity and loss of human life, while at the same time create deserts of the ocean, 0 forests-we will have to live underground on synthetic life support-what a Shame it will be that we did not Parent our Planet Properly in all its gifts and beauty its given us! Going to the sea, holidays, etc., will become a Story of: Once Upon a Time we tell to our children. Is that how we want to go? Living in a Cave with a Trump or Bolsanaro at the Helm. Welcome to Hell!

If we dont want this for ourselves, one way I do know will help is we must stop eating so much meat (if we all choose to reduce meat consumption by 70% could drastically positively reverse the current situation) and products that cost the earth so much to produce. For other ways watch David Attenborough’s documentary A Life on Our Planet for a way forward. Lets start the change-like in the 80s for Saving the Whales-To saving our People and the Planet!!!!!

We-You-I, are living on borrowed time. Your legacy of hard work will not solve the problem of leaving your children with a challenge of how to survive places of 40-50 C and rising-if we do not fundamentally change the way we consume consciously. Lets take our heads out of the sand – Its For Real Now!
